World Rhythms:

Come join percussionist and composer Julian Loida to learn the basic techniques of the ‘cajon’ as well as a dozen rhythms that are used in flamenco, Celtic, bluegrass, country, singer-songwriter, and Latin music. Julian will be exploring various rhythms and will display ways to begin improvising with these rhythms in both a solo and band context. Auxiliary instruments such as tambourine, shaker, ride cymbal, and brushes will also be covered in this class and shown how they can enhance the textures of both the cajon and various styles.
